Rusty began playing as a sophmore at GHS. He has played 15 years for GHS, MoHo, Sundodgers (UW), Tsunami (Seattle Coed), Thunder (Seattle Club Coed), and Downpour (Seattle Men’s Club). His playing experience includes appearances at college nationals, mens club regionals, and coed club regionals. He has served as captain of almost all of these programs and has been coaching for 8 years with Roosevelt HS, NWS, and Garfield HS, as well as a stint as UW-B team coach. He is certified by our national governing body USA Ultimate as a Level II coach, as well as CPR certified.

Coach Brown acts as program coordinator and head coach guiding the program toward the team goals set forth by the players and captains. He believes that strong character and ethics will serve the team beyond sheer athleticism or ability, not that great ability isn’t a good thing. He will push players to perform and reach their full potential while under his tutelage so that they might begin their own teams or fit immediately into a high-ranking college program.
